WordPress Engineer Antonio Mangiacapra

In this article, we want to introduce Antonio Mangiacapra. He supports the Inpsyde Team as a WordPress Engineer since September 2020. Antonio is an experienced WordPress developer and has held various positions in his career, most recently as a Backend Developer. We are very happy to welcome Antonio as he is a perfect reinforcement for our international team.

Antonio Mangiacapra lives in Milan, Italy.

How would you describe yourself?

I am a very curious person. I like to experiment, and I am the first in the queue for new activities. Some unusual activities that I tried are parasailing, wakeboarding, indoor skydiving, and paintball. Still, I don’t want to portray myself as a crazy-all-the-time guy. I actually can be very quiet and I also have a hidden lazy side. So I enjoy sticking to my daily routines, having time for myself and my thoughts, reading a good book, watching a good movie, drawing or cooking a good meal. As I am always an optimistic person, I try never to forget this quote: “If the problem has a solution, worrying is pointless. If the problem has no solution, there is no reason to worry”.

How do you spend your spare time?

I like reading a lot, mostly no-fiction and I usually pick up books on very different topics. Moreover, I enjoy very much watching good movies, but rarely TV shows. I also like to draw, mostly black ink, but I am trying to approach acrylic painting as well. Also, I’ve just started again Vinyasa Yoga. However, let’s say that I can hardly stick with a hobby or a sport for too long.

Antonio’s way to Inpsyde

I studied information technology at high school, so I did the first year of university, but I didn’t like it so much for many reasons and I wanted to start working, so I could learn and practice by myself. For a couple of years, I worked in some small web agencies. I always worked with WordPress, and I was looking for a job as most flexible as possible, so after these experiences, I started to sell WordPress Themes on ThemeForest. I’ve been self-employed for more than two years. Then, I’ve been employed by a product company in Milan for two years before moving to Inpsyde, which much more satisfies my flexibility needs and culture.

The fact that WordPress is the leading technology in the CMS ecosystem and Inpsyde is working 100% remotely have been perfect starting points for me. Furthermore, Inpsyde seemed to take care of the quality of their products and services. I knew that this company has very good developers and works on sophisticated client projects, so I wanted to have a try. After the first video calls, I understood that also the company culture was very nice and I really wanted to get on board.
