This is Liana Hoffmann
Liana is 30 years old and lives in Hamburg, Germany.
How would you describe yourself?
My creativity and active nature hardly allow themselves a break. I always have new projects and ideas that I try to implement and I never lose interest in trying out and learning new things. I am a bundle of energy with a strong need for movement. Not only physically but also mentally. It is important for me to have new projects. Whether I’m expanding my knowledge of a field, exploring a new sport or traveling to a new place ‒ I don’t want to stagnate in life. Besides, I live by the principle of always remaining positive. No matter what happens: Somehow, everything happens for a reason. You should always make the best of it.
During my 2 year trip to New Zealand, Australia and Asia, I tried out different things and picked the best for me. Every time, I couldn’t find what I needed in one place, I just packed my backpack and left. In the Australian outback, I discovered my passion for sports and painted the best pictures. Meanwhile, the pictures are in Russia and the USA at my husband’s family home. Nothing has changed in my curiosity for new things. At the moment I am learning the basics about programming ‒ who knows what it can be good for. Anyway, it won’t hurt.
How do you spend your spare time?
I love to travel! The many cultures and impressions inspire me and my way of life. Exploring new cultures and new places is my greatest passion. When traveling, I always pack my hiking boots and a daypack. So, hiking is a must!
I spend a lot of time with sports. After a sportive phase of self-discovery, I have focused on functional training and teach it in many different studios in Hamburg. Movement means a lot to me because I don’t like standing still. I need adventure in life for my mind and soul. During yoga and meditation, I can relax deeply at least once a week. I also read and draw. Since my childhood, drawing really lets me unwind and I can express my creativity in a classical sense.
Liana’s way to Inpsyde
In 2012, I completed my training as an insurance broker and then trained as a life insurance specialist with a broker. Afterward, I worked in this field for a total of 4.5 years. My great desire to be independent and simply to travel freely around the world was already very strong at that time. So, I took a two-year break and traveled through Oceania and Asia. After my return, I realized that this kind of work ‒ despite the responsible tasks and the nice colleagues ‒ did not make me happy anymore.
A friend then told me about Inpsyde, who made a very sympathetic impression right from the start. I was particularly enthusiastic about the concept of the WordPress agency and distributed work as an alternative working model. The more I got involved with Inpsyde, the more I had the desire to become a part of the Inpsyde family myself.
Now I’m here and I’m looking forward to the new challenge of expanding my knowledge in a completely new field and being trained in it. The diversity of the different tasks is just right for me because it gives variety and satisfies my thirst for knowledge. I like the fact that there is so much communication despite the remote work. Since the very first day, I feel welcome. I can ask questions and I get a lot of onboarding support that is not only about technical subjects, but also about advice concerning remote working.
