My entire team welcomed me so warmly. I can ask anybody for something. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, and I can’t wait to give something back to my colleagues and Inpsyde for these positive impressions. That’s what I’m committed to, and I’ll do my best!

In this article, we want to introduce Nisa. She complements our Inpsyde Team as Supporter.

This is Nurul Hanisah Rifli

Nisa lives in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

How would you describe yourself?

I want to create something that influences people’s opinions. I want to be someone’s positive vibe. But that doesn’t mean working  as an influencer. I’m much more interested in encouraging people not to give up when things aren’t going so well. Or simply turn them into an equally optimistic person through my positive nature and joie de vivre. There is already enough negativity and bad news in this world, we all need to be nice to ourselves.

How do you spend your spare time?

I love to travel. Unfortunately, this is currently not possible. But as soon as the pandemic allows it again, I will be on tour with my family. Before the pandemic, we liked to go on weekend trips. Sometimes, it can be stressful because you have to go back to work on Mondays. But you also get to see something different, be distracted by beautiful sights and  learn new things. I like that very much.

Also, I am always on the lookout for a special dish called “Nasi Ayam Penyet.” Why? Because no matter where I eat it, it always tastes different somehow. I have never experienced any other dish prepared in so many different ways. So it’s always exciting!

When I’m not traveling or chasing my favorite food, my husband and I love going to the cinema, where we’re always among the first to see the latest film.

What is important to you?

My family and friends are the most important thing. I love my kids so much. They are my sunshine. I always want to be with them, provide the best for them, and be the best version of myself for them.

They  have all accompanied me through ups and downs. I want to be there for them, too. Because things keep happening in life, like this pandemic, that puts your head in perspective and shows you what is important, this also teaches you to set priorities – and my priority is clearly that my loved ones should always be happy around me.

Can you tell a little story that best describes who you are?

My last employer gave me the official title of “Friendliest Employee of the Year.” I was really happy about that and proud that I always stuck to my optimistic principles – no matter what.

I am a happy person. I’m also very determined. When I set my mind to something, I make sure that I achieve it, but always with a friendly smile. I’m not an elbow type at all! I think that you can always get through life with a positive attitude and friendliness.

I also think we need to live today with no regrets as if we don’t really know if we will wake up tomorrow. Always cherish the little things. Think of what you have and be thankful.

Nisa’s way to Inpsyde

My major was Computer Science. During my studies, I realized my interest in design and learned web design specifically. I started working as a web designer and continued my education in this field. I also came into contact with WordPress very early on. I find fascinating what can be implemented with this content management system. I have already designed and successfully launched several WordPress websites for customers according to their specifications. A very nice and satisfying job!

Somehow my professional path got stuck, and – as luck would have it – a friend introduced me to Inpsyde. She already works here and raved about the company values, the projects and the open-minded, and globally distributed colleagues. After looking around the Inpsyde website and seeing an open position, I applied. And now I’m here. I don’t regret a second having switched to Inpsyde.

On the one hand, I like working remotely and optimizing my work-life balance; on the other hand, it is exciting to exchange ideas with my international colleagues at Inpsyde. Who can claim to work in such a multicultural company? I love getting to know other cultures.

I hope I can learn a lot and improve my skills at Inpsyde! Even in the short time I’ve been here, I’m already learning a lot and have received my first assignments!

Questions to Inpsyder Nisa

We asked Nisa a few personal questions to learn more about her:

What was the last book you read?

Hidup Bukan Sekadar Bernafas by Malis. This book could be translated as “Life is not just breathing.” It’s a more psychological book about there being more to life. That you don’t let yourself be deterred by setbacks and disappointments, but keep going. I really like books like this.

What was the best advice you ever got? Who gave it to you?

“Do it for yourself, not for others.” My sister once gave me this advice.

What do you like most about your city?

The food here is incredibly delicious. At every corner, you can get delicious dishes. But – as already mentioned – I love Nasi Ayam Penyet most of all. It consists of fried chicken that has been pounded until tender and served with rice and sambal.

What is your favorite smartphone app?

Google Photo – I like how Google Photo reminds me of what happened today, last year.

What is the best meal you can cook on your own?

Mee Kari is a noodle soup with various spices and toppings. It is very popular in this area. When I cook this, my brother always likes to visit.

You get stuck in the elevator for many hours and there’s a song playing in a continuous loop. What song would that be?
