My entire team makes a significant contribution to the fact that I feel not only that I am in good hands, but also that I have fun doing it. I find it very exciting here!

In this article, we want to introduce Amber. She complements our Inpsyde Team as Supporter.

This is Amber Laura Tanurhan

Amber lives in Marmaris, Turkey.

How would you describe yourself?

I see myself as a shy person and don’t like to be the center of attention. Nevertheless, I am adventurous, like to meet nice people, and love nature.

How do you spend your spare time?

I prefer to spend my free time with my friends or family. For example, we go hiking in the mountains or do jigsaw puzzles together. The sea is only ten minutes away by car, so I like to go there for a walk and relax. Anyway, I really like being in nature and am captivated by everything I see and hear. Besides, I love it quiet and cozy with baking, listening to music, or watching series.

What is important to you?

It is fundamentally important to me to be friendly to everyone. It doesn’t matter whether it’s at the checkout in the supermarket, when I meet a neighbor, or at work. I think it’s an essential quality that gives you more advantages than disadvantages.

In addition, I always try to do my best in everything I do. I want my family and friends always to be happy. And if they need me, for example, I want to be there for them. But doing your best also means constantly reflecting and developing yourself. That’s what motivates me.

Can you tell a little story that best describes who you are?

When I was studying in Istanbul, I had a friend. We were in the same class, and lived in different parts of Istanbul. When our classes ended in the evening, we would go to the bus stop where her bus would leave. I always waited with her until she got on the bus because she was afraid of waiting alone at night. Only after she got on her bus did I cross the street and catch my bus. It’s a short story, but it describes me best.

Amber’s way to Inpsyde

I studied Physiotherapy in Istanbul, and I got an associate degree. This subject was very interesting for me at first because I always wanted to do a helping job. You work almost continuously standing up in this profession, and you shouldn’t be afraid of physical contact. Since Turkish working hours are generally rather long, professional experience quickly showed me that this job would not be good for my health in the long run.

After deciding against my original job, I was excited by the idea of working completely remotely. In addition, my family background is not only Turkish but also Danish-English. I also worked in Berlin (Germany) for about two years. As a result, I also wanted to work in an international environment. After I came across Inpsyde while looking for a job, it appeared to be the perfect solution.

At Inpsyde, I learn everything from scratch because I hadn’t come into contact with WordPress before. But that’s what makes it all the more interesting for me, because it challenges me to do my best while learning new things.

Questions to Inpsyder Amber

We asked Amber a few personal questions to learn more about her:

What do you like most about your city?

Marmaris is quite a big city with a lot of variety. We also have a lot of nature around, and the sea is nearby. Unfortunately, we had some big wildfires last year and the trees don’t look quite as healthy anymore. But fortunately, everything grows again. We had snow for the first time this year; that was nice to see.

What is your favorite smartphone app?

Instagram

What is the best meal you can cook on your own?

Homemade pasta with cream and chicken. The best dessert I can do is croissants.

You get stuck in the elevator for many hours and there’s a song playing in a continuous loop. What song would that be?

It´s my party – Lesley Gore.
