This is Róbert Mészáros
Róbert is 32 years old and lives in Timisoara, Romania.
How would you describe yourself?
In general, I’m a curious person and have a broad range of interests. When something arouses my curiosity, I like to learn as much as possible about that topic. For example, there was a period when I was fascinated by photography. I bought books about the history of photography, constructed my own pinhole camera, and built a small dark room to experiment with different developing processes.
At the moment, I’m very interested in ham radio. I think it is a great way to get in contact with people and it kind of creates a new momentum in conversation. I also enjoy connecting with different people and getting to know different cultures. But to use ham radio, you need to get a certain license and therefore, you need to know a lot about the functionalities and mechanics. Since I am not really good in physics, this is challenging for me.
What is important to you?
To be nice and not a douchebag, to find the balance between meeting others’ needs while taking care of myself.
How do you spend your spare time?
I live in a pretty multicultural city and I like the possibilities that this offers. Timisoara was once part of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy. So, the city was shaped by Hungarian, Romanian and also German-speaking culture for the last two hundred years. There are for example three theatres, all playing spectacles in different languages. Whenever there is a new or guest performance, I try to be there. It’s much fun to explore the differences between these companies for how they run their endeavor and understand their role.
Róbert’s way to Inpsyde
I’m a self-taught developer and worked as a freelancer my whole life. My passion for programming started back in high school when I created an online forum for students. It was a big hit, lots of people used it, even the teachers. Since then I wanted to learn more about how the internet works and how to use it for different purposes. Over time, I improved my skills and started to work as a freelancer.
When I found Inpsyde, I had the feeling that this company struck the right balance between the corporate aspects and being human and down to earth. I also liked the aspect of remote working since I am used to organizing my time self-determined.
Now, I’m looking forward to seeing how so many good developers can communicate and work for the same purpose and how the culture of the company is represented in everyday situations.
